More power, more power!
On October 10, 2013, Springs Hosting completed a power upgrade to our primary collocation facility quadrupling our capacity. “However, it isn’t just about increasing power as there is much more to it. We have added an additional standby generator, several additional centralized independent UPS systems providing true A and B redundant power circuits and additional cooling to accommodate the rapid growth we are experiencing,” said CIO Jeremy Keefe. “Redundancy and availability is something we take very seriously. This is why we have deployed redundant generators. While generators are built to run during a city power outage, we have taken it a step further and built a true N+1 emergency power [redundant] system for critical data center systems.”
Springs Hosting has anticipated the need for more power to the facility and has been working on the power expansion project since 2012. We are happy to report that through careful planning, we have officially completed all power upgrades to the facility. The expansion in power is more than sufficient to power our customers’ equipment for many years.
